AUGUSTA, Maine (WABI) -The Maine CDC reports 21 new cases of coronavirus They report the most recent cases in Penobscot County.
The state total is 4,168. There have been 417 active cases since Sunday. 3,624 people were recovered. That number has gone up since Saturday eight.
There are no new deaths reported Sunday, August 16th.
Looking at the county counties by county across the state, Penobscot County has the highest number of new cases with an additional seven being reported.
There are now 178 total cases and 39 active cases.
There are four new cases in York County.
Cumberland county has three new cases and 197 active cases.
Kennebec, Knox, Oxford, Waldo and Somerset Counties each have one new case a piece.
There have been no new cases reported in Piscataguis County where seven of the seven active cases were reported Sunday.
The Maine CDC now reports two unknown cases.
