Madden NFL 21 Dev on Criticism of Franchise Mode – “We Understand Your Frustration”

EA Sports was widely criticized earlier this week when it announced the first details on the Madden NFL 21 franchise modes. The franchise mode from previous games will now be called “Classic Franchise,” and this year’s changes amount to what which could be considered basic notes from last year’s game patch.

EA has released a new video in which Madden NFL 21 producer Seann Graddy acknowledged the negative comments and promised that EA will seek to “beef up” the mode with this year’s game and beyond.

“We look at his ‘fix Madden franchise’ tweets and we understand his frustration,” Graddy said. “The franchise community is vitally important to us, and we appreciate your passion for Madden NFL. We are reading your feedback and we clearly understand that you want more. We have seen requests for details on what the franchise community can expect in the future. AND Although I don’t have many details that I can share with you at the moment, I can tell you that today, our team is actively working on reinforcing plans to support the franchise in Madden NFL 21 and beyond. “

Graddy went on to say that the Madden NFL 21 development team is working to finish the game for its August release, and of a new work-from-home setup. Any changes or upgrades to the classic Madden NFL 21 franchise would apparently not occur until after launch. Graddy said it is important for EA to start this dialogue and inform fans that the developer is listening and that he hopes to be able to share more details about his thoughts and plans in the future.

While Classic Franchise isn’t getting much attention in Madden NFL 21, EA is reinforcing the other franchise mode, Face of the Franchise. In this mode, you will create a character and guide him from high school to college and then to the NFL. And unlike in previous years, after college, you can choose to switch from QB to a runner or wide receiver.

On top of that, EA is adding more celebrities to the cast of actors. Your rival Tommy Mathews will be played by X-Men and Ready Player One star Tye Sheridan. Third Watch and ER actor Michael Beach will play an interviewing character, while Shazam actor Cooper Andrews will play his high school soccer coach. Robert Patrick, who played T-1000 in Terminator 2, will be his college coach. Rapper and actor Snoop Dogg and television journalist Rich Eisen will act themselves.

Madden NFL 21 released on August 28 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC, before hitting PS5 and Xbox Series X later in the year. A closed beta test is currently underway for Madden NFL 21, and this explains how to find a code to enter.
