Luka Doncic enters the second half of Mavs-Clippers Game 3 with ankle injury

Editor’s Note: This story will be updated.

When the Dallas Mavericks tried to make a comeback in the second half against the Clippers, Luka Doncic rolled his left ankle to defend through a drive from Kawhi Leonard.

He fell directly to the ground and needed help to get off the court, and eventually jumped into the tunnel to the locker room on one leg.

Although the injury looked bad, the Mavericks confirmed the left ankle after a few minutes, but indicated that Doncic would be available to return.

With the Clippers leading 102-85, Doncic returned to the game, beginning the fourth quarter. But his return was short.

With 9:02 left in the game, unable to keep playing, Doncic did not return the game.

He finished the night with 13 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists.

The first triple-double in Mavericks playoff history.
