Lucy Letby, 30, was charged Tuesday after being re-arrested as part of an investigation into the counters at Chester Hospital.
She was previously arrested twice by police in 2018 and 2019 in connection with the investigation, the PA Media News Agency reported. Following his previous arrest, police searched his home in the Blaken area of Chester.
He appeared in Wringington Magistrates’ Court on Thursday via video link and has been remanded in custody.
He will appear in Chester Crown Court for a further hearing on Friday.
The charge relates to the period from June 2015 to June 2016.
“The Crown Prosecution Service has authorized Chester Police to charge a healthcare professional with murder in the ongoing investigation into the deaths of several children at Chester Hospital’s Countess Baby Hospital,” police said in a statement on Wednesday.
