Lou Williams, the basketball player who spent part of an excused absence from the NBA bubble at the Atlanta Magic City strip club, is now in his ten-day quarantine. According to ESPN, the Los Angeles Clippers guard was in an excused absence from the Orlando bubble on Thursday to see Paul G. Williams, the deceased father of a family friend. After the visit, Williams went to Magic City for its famous hot wings. According to reports, there were no artists present. “Ask any of my colleagues what is my favorite restaurant in Atlanta. There is nobody to party. Relax hahaha, ”Williams tweeted Friday, with the hashtags #Maskon and #inandout. According to ESPN, Williams will miss the Clippers games against the Los Angeles Lakers and the New Orleans Pelicans on August 1.
Williams’ quarantine was announced Sunday, after rapper Jack Harlow posted a photo of Williams in Magic City, wearing his league-issued face mask. Harlow removed the photo from his Instagram story immediately on Thursday, and tweeted the next day claiming it was an old photo. “I just remembered why I miss him,” he tweeted.
Former Cleveland Cavaliers player Kendrick Perkins chided Williams publicly, tweeting: “It’s disturbing when a rookie at Zion Williamson can act more mature than NBA veteran Lou Williams !!!” Williams responded to Twitter on Monday afternoon and told Perkins to shut up.
Alas! Magic City! Deleted photos, oh! The NBA bubble is still the gossip we always dreamed it would be.
