Lori Loughlin, Mossimo Giannulli buy $ 9.5M home: Report


Lori Loughlin and her designer husband Mossimo Giannulli have reportedly bought a home while in the midst of the drama of the college admission scandal.

According to Variety and People magazine, the couple bought a place in the Hidden Hills neighborhood of California for $ 9.5 million.

The couple sold their Bel-Air mansion last month for an estimated $ 18.75 million, despite being reported for a reported $ 28.65 million. The house was originally purchased for just under $ 14 million, according to People.

The couple’s new home is 11,748 square feet and has six bedrooms and nine bathrooms, according to the magazine.

The property has a swimming pool, a fire pit and barbecue. Inside there is a home gym, a movie theater and a walking room.

A representative for the listing agent, Tomer Fridman of Compass, did not immediately respond to Fox Business’ request for comment, and representatives for Loughlin were unaware when a purchase was made.

The purchase comes after the couple pleaded guilty in May in the case of the college admissions scandal.

The parents were accused of paying $ 500,000 to get their daughters, Olivia Jade and Isabella, into the University of Southern California as members of the school’s rowing team, despite never engaging in sports.

Her plea deal, which included jail time, has not yet been accepted or rejected by the judge, and the two are currently awaiting their 21st August.

Loughlin, 56, pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit wire and postal fraud, while Giannulli, 57, pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit wire and postal fraud and honest services to wire and postal fraud.

Under the terms of her contract, Loughlin would serve two months and pay a $ 150,000 fine, freeing up two years of supervision and 100 hours of community service. Giannulli would meanwhile serve five months in prison, pay a fine of $ 250,000, and would release two years of supervision and have 250 hours of community service.

The couple are just two of many parents who have gone up in scandal. Actress Felicity Huffman also served a brief stint in prison for her involvement.
