Longtime DC radio host Kane dies of disease – NBC 4th Washington Washington

Longtime D.C. Radio host Peter Debiller, better known to listeners as Kane, died Friday “after a long illness,” his family’s lawyers said Monday.

DeBiller has hosted “The Can Show” on HOT 99.5 for years and once contributed to NBC4. His program aired in the DC area and beyond.

“However, as co-hosts came and went, Kane remained a constant and comforting sound to the children driving to work for thousands, dropping the children off at school and running jobs,” Debiller’s family lawyers said in a statement.

DeBiller was the father of two daughters, whom he always talked about on the air. His age was not immediately released.

The radio network iHeartRadio sent their condolences.

“We are deeply saddened to hear the news of Kane’s death. Ken has been an important part of our Eyeheart family for many years, from his early days at WFLZ in Tampa, D.C. And to the network and success of its stations on HOT 995 in Club Cane. Please keep Kane’s family and his girls in your thoughts and prayers, “the company said in a statement.
