Logitech’s new gaming-centric earbuds play well with USB-C devices

Logitech’s latest earbuds, the 33 50 model known as the G333, are unreliable in terms of design, with a flat cable with inline remote and mic, the ability to connect to gadgets via chopped silicone ear tips and a 3.5mm jack. What makes them stand out is the 3.5mm-to-USB-C adapter.

If your phone or other audio Dio device lacks a headphone jack but has a USB-C port to back it up, you’re all set to be plugged in with this model. Since the adapter is connected, I have no problem using the G333 for work on my 3.5mm-less Pixel 3, on my Nintendo Switch or via the USB-C port on my workbook Pro. Included with these earbuds are two extra sized silicone ear tips and a small mesh carrying case.

The G333 looks almost identical to Logitech’s other two gaming earbuds: the G50 G333 VR headphones (certified for the Oculus Quest 2) and the Ast 50 Astro A03 earbuds. The value added here is the USB-C adapter, which is included at the same price. So if you’re trying to decide between them, the new G333 is the most featureful in price.

The G333 earbuds seem to have the same dual dynamic drivers as the models above, and their overall performance was similar in my testing. If you don’t expect much (considering the price), I think you’ll be impressed with their sound quality. There’s plenty of bass, but it doesn’t make a noise. My biggest nitpick in front of them is that silicone ear tips don’t always want to stay in my ear.

Logitech’s new earbuds will be available in three colorways: black with blue details, black purple with neon yellow details and finally, silver with light purple details.
