Logitech has introduced a new Logitech Folio Touch keyboard case with trackpad for the 11-inch iPad Pro. This follows the launch of the Logitech Combo Touch Keyboard Case with Trackpad for iPad 7, which we reviewed in-depth earlier this year.
The Folio Touch connects to iPad Pro through the iPad’s smart connector. There’s a built-in kickstand on the back, which isn’t great for lability, but allows the keyboard to fold completely back. The integration of the Smart Connector means that there is no need to charge the Folio Touch, as it consumes power from the iPad Pro.
The keyboard features a full row of shortcut keys for iPadOS, including quick access to the home screen, screen brightness, volume controls, and more. Also, the keys are backlit. Logitech claims that the Folio Touch features a laptop-like design that provides flexibility and protection with its adjustable stand and folding keyboard:
“The Folio Touch offers a familiar, portable keyboard layout for iPad Pro users with incredible flexibility and protection,” said Michele Hermann, Logitech Vice President of Mobility. “With the adjustable stand and folding keyboard, iPad Pro users can use the laptop as the keyboard and touchpad to get the job done, and then easily move the keyboard around when they want to draw, watch videos, or read.”
iPadOS 13.4 added a variety of new optimizations to the iPad experience for trackpads. These functions not only work with the Magic Keyboard for Apple iPad Pro, but also with third-party accessories and separate trackpads. Logitech is taking advantage of these optimizations with its growing line of keyboard and trackpad cases.
Logitech Folio Touch will be available this month for $ 159.99 through the Logitech website and Apple’s online store. As of now, there is no news on when to expect a version of the Logitech Folio Touch for the larger 12.9-inch iPad Pro.
