Thiago Alcántara put out an absolute masterclass as a Bayern Munich center in their Champions League final vs PSG. However, many have suggested that Thiago wants to leave Bavaria in the future, and that this game could potentially be his last for the club.
Following the defeat of PSG, Bayern manager Hansi Flick and Thiago had a long conversation – with many speculating that this was Thiago’s time at the club.
At the press conference after the match, however, a shock came up. When asked about Thiago’s future, Flick immediately said, “he told me he would stay.”
Yet this bombshell was not as big as it first did. After standing still for a few seconds, looking straight at the reporter, Hansi burst out laughing. Nice enough, after a wonderful deadpan delivery of a hilarious joke.

What his conversation with Thiago was really about, “the boss thanks him for our time together”. Is that perhaps an indication that Thiago is really set for Liverpool and the Premier League? Who knows.
