Live Updates: Nor Easter could be the biggest East Coast storm in years


Norse Easter was targeted from Wednesday in the Slam parts of the Mid-Atlantic states and New England, bringing heavy snow, strong winds and some coastal flooding.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS), the hurricane is expected to be the largest east coast hurricane of the year and is expected to bring 1 to 2 inches of snowfall per hour to the region.

“We are confident that this major winter hurricane will have significant effects in most parts of the Mid-Atlantic, Southeast New York and South New England, including travel disruptions and power outages,” the NWSA added.

According to Ecuweather, N’Star was expected to bring in more snow than last year in Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, New York City and Boston.

Cold showers and snowfall were also expected in parts of North Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia.
