Georgia’s Secretary of State Brad Rafansperg accused President Trump of throwing “under the bus” in a column published Wednesday.
The November election in Georgia was “smooth” and “successful,” Rafensparger wrote in an article published by USA Today, noting the state “finally defeated the voting lines.”
“This should be something to celebrate for the Georgian people, whether their pro-presidential candidate wins or loses,” he said. “To the surprise, I lost – my family voted for him, donated to him and is now being thrown under the bus by him.”

- About 5 million ballots are counted
- December 8 is the deadline for resolving election disputes at the state level
His comments came weeks after he clashed with fellow Republicans. The Trump 2020 campaign called for a second count of Georgia’s votes over the weekend, with Rafansperger once again clashed over a demand for a signature-matched key role.
