The Kaunas club “Žalgiris” has completed the composition of the next season and has signed a contract with the new organizer of the team’s attacks. It became Emmanuel Mudiay, 25, who signed a one-year contract, according to the press release.

At the 2015 NBA Rookie Exchange, this basketball player from the Democratic Republic of the Congo was named seventh in the Denver Nuggets and spent five seasons in the strongest basketball league in the world.
For nearly three years, the player wore a Nuggets jersey, played a year and a half for the New York Knicks and spent a season with the Utah Jazz. Interestingly, before entering the NBA, Mudiay began his professional career in China.
In Denver in the first season, Mudiay registered statistical averages of 12.8 points and 5.5 assists, in the second 11 points and 3.9 assists, and in the third 8.5 points, 2.9 assists.

After moving to New York in 2018, the Knicks defender displayed the best averages of his NBA career: 14.8 points each, 3.3 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game.
Last season, Mudiay had to win without basketball, and a year earlier he played 57 NBA league games in a Jazz jersey, scoring 7.2 points in an average of 15 minutes, bouncing 2.3 balls and making 2.1 broadcast assists.
When this basketball player played in Utah, he was also closely watched by Žalgiris’ current coach, Martin Schiller, who currently worked for the Salt Lake City Stars team of the Salt Lake City G league Jazz affiliate.
It was Mudiay who was the main target of Paul Motiejūnas and Schiller, who visited the NBA Summer League.
The new member of “Žalgiris” scored 23.2 points on average during the 23 minutes he spent in the summer league, made 7.2 assists and bounced 2.8 balls.
In the near future, the player will come to Kaunas, undergo a medical examination, and after that, Mudiay will immediately join the team training and prepare for the next control match.
