The National Public Health Center (NVSC) reports that 21 cases of coronavirus infection (COVID-19) were confirmed yesterday in Lithuania. 8 of them were registered in Vilnius, 7 – in Klaipėda, 5 – in Kaunas counties. Another case of COVID-19 was confirmed in Panevėžys County.
After contact with the sick, 9 people became infected, the circumstances of the infection of 6 people are not yet known. Register import cases during the previous day 6.

3 of the import cases approved yesterday were identified in Klaipeda County. COVID-19 disease has been confirmed in people returning from Poland, 1 of whom has characteristic symptoms of the infection. Another person from Klaipeda County was diagnosed with the infection when he returned from Ukraine.
In addition, two import cases, from Ukraine and Uzbekistan, are confirmed in Kaunas county. The COVID-19 disease has been confirmed for foreigners who have come to work in a logistics company operating in Kaunas. Individuals do not experience the characteristic symptoms of the coronavirus, proven prophylactically.
After contact with the sick, 9 people became infected
2 cases identified yesterday in Vilnius are related to the fireplace in a bar that operates in the old town of Vilnius. People experience specific symptoms of the coronavirus. There are currently 6 cases associated with this approach.
Another 7 people, 4 in Vilnius, 1 in each of Kaunas, Panevėžys and Klaipėda counties, became infected after contact with people with confirmed COVID-19 disease.
The circumstances of the infection in 6 people are not yet clear.
Currently, epidemiologists have not yet been able to determine how 6 people were infected: 2 in Kaunas, Vilnius and Klaipėda counties. 5 subjects were studied for specific coronavirus symptoms and 1 for prophylaxis. Epidemiological studies have shown that people did not travel abroad and did not interact with confirmed COVID-19 cases.
In Lithuania, a total of 2,330 COVID-19 cases have been confirmed in specific people, 547 people are still ill and 1,689 have recovered.
