However, how often employees decide to seek happiness elsewhere depends not only on the efforts of the company, but also on the industry. In some areas, employees change as guests in hotels, while in others, employee departure already amounts to important knowledge.

The pandemic has curbed the desire to change jobs
In recent years, employee turnover in Lithuania has accelerated significantly. It is true that the pandemic slowed this acceleration.
According to the Baltic Wage Survey, the average total change in Lithuania in 2020 was 18.3 percent, while in 2019 it was 19.2 percent and a year ago 19.8 percent.
Similarly, a study by international consultancy Korn Ferry revealed only slightly higher figures, showing that employee turnover in the past three years has reached 21-23 percent.

In 2016, the average employee turnover in Lithuania, according to the Baltic Salary Survey, was only 13.5 percent.
