When the weather warmed up, there were perverts on Klaipeda’s beaches, and the views on the dunes were just the beginning

But it is difficult to catch them at a crime scene. And those caught are only fined a few dozen euros, so the perverts will soon return to the beaches.

The pervert was filmed on Klaipeda’s women’s beach by two thirteen-year-old girls. A man in worn stockings and a face mask to protect himself against the coronavirus hid in the dunes. Police say such views on the beach dunes are only the beginning. As the weather warms up, such perverts will only increase.

“It just came to our attention then. There are new ones emerging from each other, but when there are some who come from another city, not even a local one, it is difficult to identify them again,” he says. Klaipeda Police Representative Aurelija Studencova.

Beach rescuers say they meet exhibitionists every summer. Some are reported by vacationers, others are trapped by themselves, but most manage to escape. Rescuers note that perverts only satisfy their fantasies at the women’s beach.

“It just caught our eye then. When the weather is nice or windy and they happen. These people are only on the women’s beach. Of course, there are people on the beach as well, but they only go through that beach there, “says Aleksandras Siakki, the chief of Klaipeda rescuers.

And here are the tourists who gathered by the sea and say they have not seen such perverts this year, but are considering why people behave this way:

“Fantasy. Everyone has their own imagination. He wants to survive them. And the older a person is, the more fantasies, the stranger they are. And if they don’t survive, they must be discovered elsewhere.”

Probably not healthy.

“I would go to work, I wouldn’t have time for that nonsense.”

“Well, there are problems, there are health problems, I think. With the psyche.

Psychologists say the same thing. Exhibitionism is a mental disability that can be cured if the person wants it. It is true that none of these has emerged so far.

“Both men and women can get sick, really. Personalities tend to have very low self-esteem and this is how they try to establish themselves, this is how they try to prove something to themselves. First of all, “said Tatiana Sobolevskaya, a psychiatrist at Klaipeda University Hospital.

Police and psychologists advise ignoring it when confronted with a pervert. Without receiving attention, such will disappear by itself. If he continues, he should call the general emergency number 112 and try to describe the pervert in as much detail as possible, so that the officers catch him faster.

Unfortunately, the laws are such that such a person will be punished only for violation of public order with a fine. Admittedly, if officials catch the same pervert multiple times, the court can send him to a psychiatric clinic for involuntary treatment.
