However, sociological polls conducted from November 28 to December 1 show that a large part of the Lithuanian population does not promise to welcome big parties only to their families. According to surveys conducted by the market research and public opinion company Baltijos tyrimai, 12 percent. respondents intend to welcome the upcoming holidays as guests. Another 10 percent. residents say they intend to invite family and friends to their homes. According to the systematic survey data, people under the age of 30 and residents of smaller cities are more likely to visit or invite people.

According to the Baltic Survey, people under the age of 30 will be the most active in this regard. In this age group, only 49 percent. Respondents say they will ring in the New Year at home with family members they live with, and 30 percent intend to be with friends, family, or travel.

Surveys show that residents don’t always comply with quarantine requirements. According to the Baltic Survey, nine out of ten (88%) people always use nasal and mouth pillows when necessary. However, almost a tenth (9%) say that this requirement is only met occasionally.

Eight out of ten (82%) say they do not meet in public places and 13% say they do not. respondents admitted that they sometimes ignore such instruction.

Only slightly more than half (57%) of respondents said they did not visit guests themselves and that they did not invite other people to visit.
