He said 21 migrants left over the weekend and 8 are being returned or have already been returned. Speaking of the additional hiring of security guards, B. Bernotienė commented that everything is still in process, the conditions are being harmonized and no contract has been signed. When asked about the need for such protection, he pointed out several things.
“You see, people live pretty quiet here until someone bothers them. As we walked together, you saw children playing, adults playing. All problems, all problems are dealt with here. It is those forces that, when all is well, we get along. If you need additional help, we will contact the police. “

When asked what happened over the weekend that migrants had to be restrained, he said it was just an emotional reaction when those who wanted to leave did not.
“It was an emotional discharge.”
Also after the child’s death, the migrants told reporters that they were concerned for their children’s health, but B. Bernotienė replied that they were provided with the necessary medical assistance.
“We have doctors and doctors who take care of your health. For both children and adults, ”he said.
He also noted that a mobile team arrives every day and migrants can see doctors. At the same time, he hoped that no additional fences would be considered and hoped that the day would come when migrants could be released behind those fences in their own country or in Lithuania.
As the Delfi journalist walked through the Rukla Refugee Center after the press conference, a migrant family approached the fence and asked for his help. The father raised his son with a mobile phone that said “I’m dying” in Lithuanian. His mother asked for help calling a doctor.
“It’s a disaster, there is no doctor here,” they said.

Other migrants did not hide their emotions either, holding printed photographs of the dead child in their hands. However, due to ignorance, his tension is felt in Rukla, who is sometimes interrupted by spontaneous protests.
