Janušonis during the meeting of the municipal Committee for Health and Social Affairs on Tuesday.
According to him, the hospital is preparing another 20 extra beds for patients infected with COVID-19. But the biggest concern is whether there will be enough human resources to deal with them. Currently 21 doctors are in isolation at the Klaipeda University Hospital.
In Klaipeda, consideration is being given to where another 100 beds could be prepared for coronavirus patients.
It is considered that the Galinio Pylimo Street Fever Clinic could also be open on weekends. Here, patients with fever whose condition is not complicated are consulted. Almost 300 patients have already been consulted at this clinic.
