After playing 22 seasons in the NBA and never winning the league title, Vince Carter explained why it was not a priority for him.

“He just caught our eye then. He wasn’t interested in that. He wanted to be part of a team that he could help with and get minutes. He just wanted to play. He could have been an amazing teacher to other basketball players, but sometimes it’s better not say but show.
I didn’t want to do that and I don’t think I can handle that. Everyone who has seen me play knows that I can’t just sit on a bench and watch a game, “Carter told Sports Illustrated.
This is the last season for the 43-year-old 198cm veteran – he will no longer play basketball.
If the NBA doesn’t extend, Carter will have played his last game on March 11, when his Atlanta Hawks got the New York Knicks.
Carter, who played for the second season in the Hawks, scored an average of 5 points each year and recovered with 2.1 balls.
This is the sixth season in a row that Carter’s performance is below the double-digit mark.
Carter’s best season was 2000-2001, when he scored 27.6 points for the Toronto Raptors.
