The most interesting thing is that the children of “Labyrinth” sometimes respond with such pleasure: “you read it, it gives me dyslexia”. And adults, who know at least something about dyslexia, have a normal reaction, but those who do not know anything about it are often frightened by the child as if he were the devil. Some symptoms can betray dyslexia
The specialist says that there are often signs that you need to pay attention to.

Established a Learning Peculiarities Center
Upon learning of her son Joseph’s learning disability, the woman says she wanted to help other parents understand what the problem was and how to help their son.
“When I found out about Joseph’s dyslexia, I began to correspond with foreign specialists, a lot of information came from books and then I came up with the idea of organizing trainings for parents like me. The boy gave the idea to businesses and activities ”, smiles the founder of“ Labyrinth ”.
This is how the Learning Peculiarities Center “Labyrinth” was created. Classes and consultations are organized here for parents, teachers, children with dyslexia, dysgraphia (writing disorder) or dyscalculia (counting disorder).
“We at the center work not only with dyslexia but also with socio-emotional problems, because these children need to learn to be different, gain confidence and learn to come into the community and say: ‘I am dyslexic’ and ask for help,” says A. Blažinskienė .
The Labyrinth Center for Learning Peculiarities focuses on specialized training for children with learning disabilities. Many schools in Lithuania don’t even have a special one. educators, and the general education system is not adapted for dyslexics.
Sometimes very common tools can help these children: a reading ruler that highlights a line and is not distracting, or a special filter on the screen that has a specific font. The woman says that a reading disability is nothing more terrible than a simple visual impairment.
“Dyslexia is like glasses. A visually impaired person puts on glasses and sees the world like everyone else, the same goes for dyslexics. You just need the tools to see the world as others do. “
It is best to normalize the environment.
“The knowledge and knowledge of parents on how to help and communicate is very important,” says the specialist.
Often children, without a helping hand or understanding, give up and begin to think that the world is hostile and difficult to live in. Studies show that adults with specific learning disabilities are up to 46 percent more likely to be harmed in the future.
If a child often hears from those around him that he is different, that he cannot, in many cases children tend to believe it.
