Since most companies in Vilnius continue to work remotely or more flexibly for at least part of the time, passengers are encouraged to plan trips on public transport. To this end, SĮ “Tiekimo paslaugos” has created a convenient tool to manage route selection and less crowded travel times. By opening the link, passengers will see the general employment situation on all routes and will be able to choose the route of interest, according to the press release.
“The number of trips by public transport is growing almost every day. Vilnius residents are moving to workplaces, we also see a fairly significant increase in traffic on weekends. Although there are no specific rules that are mandatory for public transport, we ourselves continue with most of the safety measures that have been applied so far, carriers will carry out regular disinfection and we recommend that passengers wear masks. It is also gratifying that Vilnius residents travel by bicycle, scooter, on foot, the city is full of harmonious movements. And not only for entertainment in free time, but more and more often for communication to work, studies, meetings. Consequently, habits are changing: we hope that people do not allow them to continue in the city, creating increasingly convenient conditions to move in this way, “says Modesta Gusarovi enė, director of SĮ „Įimoimo paslaugos”.

Carriers will disinfect buses and trolleybuses more actively than usual before quarantine: each bus and trolleybus is disinfected at least twice a day. At night, public transport parks are used to clean the exterior and interior of vehicles. Thoroughly cleans and disinfects the interior, floor, and washable exterior of each bus and trolleybus.
Passengers are reminded, as usual, to activate tickets on mobile applications or on the Vilnius card. Public transportation controllers review tickets according to security requirements, they have all disinfectants. Tickets can be purchased in advance at the m.Ticket, Trafi apps, fill out the Vilnius card at the self-service, as well as buy and reload the Vilnius card at distribution points, the map of which can be found here.
