Lithuania is ranked 74th out of 106 countries in the ranking of the most polluted countries. According to the air pollution study of the Swiss company IQAir, whose data is published in a blog Euroblogas.ltLithuania has a better climate than Singapore (73rd place), Israel (54th place), Poland (53rd place), Greece (48th place), Italy (47th place) or Sakartvele (37th place).

The goal set by the World Health Organization is contamination by fine particles of less than 10 µg / m³.

In the case of Lithuania, the annual average is 11.7 μg / m³.

The study shows that among the largest cities in Lithuania, the healthiest people live in Klaipeda (8.8 µg / m³), ​​Kaunas (10.8 µg / m³) and Panevėžys (11.8 µg / m³). Vilnius, the capital (13.4 μg / m³), ​​only surpasses Šiauliai (14.3 μg / m³).
