With the continued operation of two other mass vaccination centers in the municipality (Avenida Konstitucijos 3) and the Žirmūnai Non-formal Education Center (Žirmūnų str. 1B), other institutions that provide outpatient health services in the capital will be able to focus on revaccination of home and previously vaccinated vaccination of patients difficult to transfer.

“Taking into account the information from the Government on the increasing quantities of vaccine received in the second quarter of the year, we are ready to vaccinate at Litexpo facilities adapted to the flow of thousands of visitors,” said Vilnius Mayor Remigijus Šimašius. – We will have many places, there are hundreds of thousands of people, now we only need enough vaccines to cover that need. If necessary, Vilnius is determined to vaccinate not only the residents of Vilnius, but also the residents of the surrounding regions, where vaccination is stagnant. “

With convenient access and spacious parking, Litexpo, in its largest room no. 5, will operate 50 vaccination booths. Those arriving by car will be immediately directed to the free parking reserved for the vaccination center, and those who have opted for public transportation will be transferred by bus to a specially equipped stop. To do this, new access routes to the vaccination center are being prepared from various points in the city. The main rule that applies to everyone is that access to the Litexpo area from the parking lot will only be possible 15 minutes before vaccination, so the municipality encourages residents not to arrive too early.

The vaccination center is expected to be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and will serve almost all of the city’s primary personal health care facilities, including the private Medica Clinic and the Immedica Family Clinic. Red Cross volunteers will help coordinate on-site vaccination processes and shooters are expected to help.

Renting a Litexpo store in the city costs about 30,000 euros per month. With the approval of the city council, the premises were rented for 3-6 months. entitled to extend it a second time if necessary due to the COVID-19 pandemic and ongoing vaccination. Preparing the place for vaccination will cost about 40,000 euros.

All information on special public transport routes to the vaccination center in the Litexpo territory will be published on judu.lt or vilniustransport.lt. Until they are available, use the usual public transport routes.

Registration for vaccination at the Litexpo center will be available from today, April 22, at https://vakcina.vilnius.lt/. Information on the population groups currently vaccinated in Vilnius can also be found on this website.
