The deputy mayor left the following post on the social network: “Today, a coronavirus was detected in progymnasium beginner M. Mažvydas in Vilnius. He got infected from a family member and the family was only isolated immediately after learning the results, so the student was no longer in school on Friday.

The entire class will now be covered by distance learning in the near future. The school has been completely disinfected today and will continue to operate according to tomorrow’s schedule, as children from different classes did not come into contact with each other in this case.

I wish you all strength and a cool mind, there will definitely be similar situations this school year. The most important thing for students and their parents is to be careful: if they notice the symptoms of a cold, it is better to stay at home, and if the case is confirmed in the family, inform the educational institution immediately. This will allow us to make the right decisions. “

We remind you that last day 43 new cases of coronavirus were confirmed in Lithuania, the total number is 3,083, the National Center for Public Health informed BNS on Sunday.

Today 1,030 people still have a coronavirus infection and in 1954 they recovered. A total of 86 people died from COVID-19 and 13 people died from other causes.

There are 6,047 people in isolation. As of June 1, 207 import cases have been identified in Lithuania.
