“The interest is high, the purchase is in progress. As soon as we have it, we will inform the patients and we will vaccinate them more,” said the head of the polyclinic.
Free vaccines for people at risk are still available in Vilnius, and will be available in Kaunas in early November.

The free flu vaccine is given to people over 65 and chronically ill people of any age, pregnant women, women, nursing home and nursing home residents, and medical personnel.
“There are free vaccines available at the Lazdynai Polyclinic, Šeškinė and the Central Polyclinic. All outpatient clinics, including those listed, are waiting for the vaccines to be added in the second stage, ”said the representative of the Vilnius municipality.

Kaunas expects vaccinations in November
As P. Kibiša, director of the Kaunas Polyclinic, told BNS, institutions have already completed both paid and reimbursed vaccines. Reimbursable vaccines are expected in the first weeks of November and paid vaccines in late November.
“Currently, we have vaccinated the flu vaccine funded by the state with everything we received: 6.3 thousand. Quickly, there was a lot of interest. We have also vaccinated the commercial vaccine,” he said.
The institution acquired 44 percent this year. more commercial vaccines than last year throughout the season, but they were sold out within a month.
“Demand seems to have increased around the world and the vaccine is quite a complex biological product,” Kibisha said.
He stressed that it would not be too late to receive additional vaccines, since the highest peak of influenza is registered in January-February.
“Both November and December are good months to get vaccinated, as immunity develops,” said the head of the polyclinic.
Repurchased more vaccinated
According to VLK data, this year 45 percent was acquired. more flu vaccines reimbursed than last year, nearly half of them have already reached treatment centers.
