The acting minister also spoke about the fact that he receives many questions about various places to spend his free time, such as skiing.

“We are constantly asking and looking for various loopholes and explanations, maybe this can be arranged and done. Once again, I want to ask everyone to understand where we are. And we should not look for any loopholes or legal wording in the quarantine provisions.

I can certainly guarantee that the Government will not allow conditions to be relaxed. On Monday it will be discussed what quarantine conditions could be tightened. So far, we are at a stage where the number of infections continues to grow. As a result, we cannot think of opening any entertainment.

One of the hottest spots is Panevėžys

At present, Vilnius City Clinical Hospital, better known as Antakalnis Hospital, does not receive emergency services and does not even provide emergency assistance to clear places for COVID-19 infection.

The acting minister asked the population to make more active use of the Korona stop mobile application. The application notifies its owner when it has had a risk contact with a patient. It can also indicate whether a person is infected with a coronavirus.

The minister is also receiving threats

NVSC staff say they receive multiple messages daily from people who do not believe in the virus and deny it in one way or another, and the messages are also threatening in nature. The journalists also asked the minister if he also receives these types of messages.

“It just came to our attention then. And when I see that the threats may be at least partially serious, I record those messages in the electronic police, I report them and I know that there are also fines for those people.

2,514 new cases were reported

The NVSC reported that 2,514 cases of coronavirus infection (COVID-19) were confirmed in Lithuania on the last day. 625 of them were registered in Kaunas, 618 Vilnius, 297 Šiauliai, 283 Klaipėda, 197 Panevėžys, 137 Alytus counties.

Another 118 cases of infection were confirmed in Utena, 91 in Tauragė, 78 in Telšiai, and 53 in Marijampolė counties. 17 cases have not yet been assigned to any region of the country due to lack of information. The NVSC reports that 26 cases of coronavirus deaths were received from medical institutions last day. Currently, the infection has claimed 590 lives.
