According to the Minister, the harmonization of the procedure is already being completed: the change of the isolation rules regarding the isolation exceptions for those who suffer kovidin league.

“Those exceptions will stipulate that those who become infected should no longer remain in isolation for three months after high-risk contact. For now, this procedure would only apply with certain exceptions, as we have not yet received an assessment from a group of medical experts.

It could be available on Monday for consideration by doctors working in nursing homes, prison staff or other professions where more precautionary measures are needed. And for all the others, it is probable that if the specialists manage to sign, this procedure would take effect as of tomorrow, ”said the minister.

He also informed the members of the Seimas of new innovations regarding changes in the isolation procedure.

“In addition to other people who have the opportunity to shorten the isolation, members of the Seimas will also be registered, who will be able to shorten the isolation for up to 10 days with a negative COVID-19 test,” said A. Veryga.

Increased mortality value

The minister also did not hide the worrying increase in mortality from COVID-19 in recent weeks. According to him, these indicators “are out of the average”.

“Unfortunately, we are seeing the increase in mortality fall from the average for a few weeks and orders are currently being given to the Institute of Hygiene, and on Monday we will discuss the reasons for this and why we are already seeing an increase in mortality.” said the acting health minister.

Will consider new restrictions

A total of 471 people died from coronavirus in Lithuania and 213 from other causes.
