The minister explained in the broadcast that the quarantine conditions are not sufficient to announce the curfew in the country. Depending on the interlocutor, there are a number of other measures that can be applied so far. Therefore, it is too early to talk about a curfew.

“It is not possible to introduce a curfew, because we need an emergency to declare it. (…) Furthermore, even before the curfew, there are a relatively large number of measures that other countries can still take. It could also be the suspension of unnecessary means, the transfer of the entire educational process to a remote one ”, A. Veryga mentioned possible solutions in the program on Thursday.

The Minister of Health assured that a more careful regulation of the flow of people in supermarkets is already being considered.

“There are requirements, there is also an area of ​​square meters per visitor,” the minister recalled. He also urged neighbors to follow the measures used by supermarkets.

During the universal quarantine in Lithuania, massage parlors were ordered to close, but cosmetology offices can continue their activities. A. Veryga tried to explain why these apparently quite similar measurements are different.

“It just came to our attention then. Because certain services remain, people from different businesses seek justice: why some can do it, why others can’t. I’m not a great expert on infection control, such were the recommendations of both doctors. , resolute on such restrictions.When performing cosmetology services, it is also possible to wear gloves while performing a massage – this is a sufficiently intensive job that you do it. Apparently, it would be difficult to realize this with gloves.

Perhaps this can be interpreted. But in principle, the less acts are carried out, the better, the more the spread of the infection is reduced ”, he assured.

Synchronize data

There was a slight hiatus in the reporting of coronavirus statistics this week, with different data in different databases. Minister A. Veryga said that authorities publishing data on the incidence of both coronaviruses would provide them at 1 pm
