Vidmantas Januleviius, former vice president, has been elected head of the Lithuanian Industrial Confederation (LPK). He replaces Robert Darg, who has led LPK for two terms since 2012.
V. Januleviius was the only candidate for the LPK leaders.
A total of 84 delegates participated in the vote. 83.
The new industrialized president said that his main priority will be to systematize the LPK equipment.
We are waiting for many activities, but the speed with which we achieve the desired result will depend only on our search. I will try to connect everyone and hope for common support. The voices that were there today make me optimistic, says V. Januleviius in the speech.
All my attention will be strengthened, systematized by the LPK team, he added.
V. Januleviius also stated that under the leadership of LPK he would seek to unite various confederations representing companies.
I will definitely try to unite all the confederations within us. Lithuania is not such a large country that it could have many confederations and associations. He wants to structure them, taking into account growing interests, not just mutual interests, he said.
He stressed that LPK should not represent individual companies, but broader interests.
The Danes have heard the question, especially in the regions, what can I do to be in the confederation? If nobody represents my interests, I cannot achieve what I want for my business. It is not only in the interests of private companies to belong to the association. We need to reflect a broader range of interests, says Januleviius.
V. Januleviius has been Vice President of LVK since 2017. He is also Chairman of the Board of Directors of the high-tech group BOD Group.
LPK unites a total of 56 associations: 51 shows, five regional members and 25 non-associated members, which unite all the main industrial branches and the main products manufactured in Lithuania.
