“Yes, and after the official end of the quarantine, the work continues at this point. Just today I visited him and saw that everything was going well. The great people of our people, even though they got extra work, are trying and working Really well, as in previous months, when hundreds of passengers arrived at Kaunas airport during the quarantine, they had to be attended.

A couple of hundred Hegelmann Transport employees were inspected this week, and now part of the employees of the Urmo miestelis shopping center, which, as recently turned out, was visited by drivers infected with COVID-19 from Uzbekistan, who came to work in Kaunas .

Our opportunities are to verify two hundred and a half Urmo employees who could have been in contact with infected clients at work in two days. We don’t know yet how many of those employees will be registering, but we will definitely review all those who have registered, “Paulius Kibiša, head of the Kaunas Municipality Polyclinic, which established the mobile checkpoint, told the ELTA news agency.

Urmas has taken action

A press release issued by the commercial city of Urmas states that the National Center for Public Health only presumes that it will visit the Uzbeks in Urme. However, additional disinfection was performed at the sales facility and employees were given an opportunity to verify.

“Although we received no official notification, as soon as we saw the information published by the National Health Center that Uzbek citizens diagnosed with COVID-19 were able to visit Urme, we took immediate action. At the end of the quarantine, our facilities were disinfected a once a week, but this was done additionally on Wednesday.

We contacted the municipality, giving us an opportunity to check for coronaviruses for some of the employees who were able to communicate with the aforementioned citizens of Uzbekistan, ”said Dovilė Lengvenienė, marketing manager for the commercial city of Urmas.

According to the report, if the Uzbeks visited here, they could have done so from July 2 to 8, and it’s been a long time since then, and none of the workers have had any symptoms. As a result, they are not considered a high risk group and may or may not verify it at their own discretion.

On Thursday, Rima Gabrielaitė, an employee of the National Center for Public Health, confirmed that the official route for Uzbeks infected with coronavirus in Kaunas has not been established, and the National Health Center only makes assumptions about their places to visit in the city. .

“Most likely, Uzbeks will only be able to visit the currency exchange offices located here. According to our data, they choose retail stores located elsewhere to shop. The good thing is that all of Urme’s currency exchange offices have tickets separated from the outside and not much traffic. Strict rules still apply in bank-owned bureaux de change: employees wear masks, facilities are closed several times a day for disinfection, “said D. Lengvenienė.

With renewed concerns about the spread of the coronavirus, Urmas pays even more attention to measures that can prevent its spread: disinfection, maintaining distance between staff and visitors, providing information and warnings about the virus and other related actions.
