The list of countries most affected by coronavirus infection (COVID-19) was updated on Friday and will take effect on Monday, July 27. From now on, the affected areas are considered countries where the incidence rate in the last 14 days exceeds 16 cases per 100,000. population.
Foreigners arriving from countries with a morbidity rate greater than 16 should be isolated for 14 days, while those from third countries included in the list of affected countries should isolate themselves and undergo tests for coronavirus infection. Isolation facilities, transportation to isolation facilities, transportation to the test site for coronavirus infection and testing for coronavirus infection for foreigners arriving in Lithuania for work or with special permits must be provided and paid for by the employer, the inviting person or the foreigner.
Lithuanian citizens returning from countries where the morbidity rate exceeds 16 years must be isolated for 14 days.
Returnees or arrivals from countries on the list of affected countries are expected to register within 24 hours by sending their data to the National Center for Public Health (NVSC). This procedure is valid for both Lithuanian citizens returning from these countries and foreigners with an entry permit.
The list of the most affected countries is updated weekly, taking into account epidemiological indicators in foreign countries.
