This agreement was approved on Tuesday by Eugenijus Valatka, president of the Conference of Rectors of the University of Lithuania (LURK), Rector of the Kaunas University of Technology (KTU), the university said.
“Furthermore, it was decided that to ensure fair competition between universities and harmonize threshold requirements, the calculation of this year’s minimum competitive score value will not take into account the additional points established by individual universities,” says E. Valatka.
In the past, when calculating the value of the entrance score, individual universities established additional criteria by which additional points were awarded, but this year is no longer the case.
“Undoubtedly, as before, the winners of the Lithuanian and International Business Olympics, competitions and other major events, the list of which is provided in the LAMA BPO” Description of the order of the queue of the competition, “will be awarded additional points,” says the boss of LURK.
After the LURK meeting on Friday, it was announced that the exemption would apply to Klaipeda University (KU) when entering a place not funded by the state of marine engineering: here the minimum entry score had to reach 5, but according to E. Valatka, the university senate the same poster as in all public universities.
General admission to the country’s universities and colleges began on June 1.
Those who wish to participate in it are invited to submit applications in the General Admission Information System (BPIS) before noon on August 18, connecting through the website of the Lithuanian Association of Higher Education Institutions to Organize General Admission (LAMA BPO).
The invitation to study will be published on August 22 at 12 noon.
