Unexpectedly relieves quarantine, but only in the open air: residents do not catch him with joy

It also allowed for outdoor services, entertainment, updated driving lessons, and more elementary school students in the capital will be able to start going to schools. True, the largest spring festival in St. The fate of Easter is still unclear. It is true that the government introduced these exemptions earlier than recommended by experts.

This is what my residents do:

“Without a doubt we are happy, everything is moving towards progress, we have perspective.”

“We will take off our masks, dance and sing here in the square. We will go to the cafe, we will wait when we can go eat zeppelins. “

“All those things are already under pressure, we have to distract ourselves, more opportunities to use.”

“Surely everyone wants family and loved ones to feel as much as possible. Others, where the apartment lives, are closed. “

In this way, residents are happy with the release of the quarantine. The government, which has not changed the current rules for a long time, has unexpectedly decided to drop a small number of restrictions in the field.

Starting Saturday, 2 family farms will be able to communicate with each other in the open air.

In the open space, people will be able to gather in groups of less than 5 people. Two family farms will be able to opt for a more abundant company.

Sports, leisure and entertainment services will be available in the open spaces. No more than 5 people or two household members at a time.

Events are allowed without getting out of the car. Groups of up to 5 children can also go out in groups.

“We can really talk about outdoor activities. With the beginning of spring, people can be more outdoors, less crowded with shops in rows, ”says Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė.

“Bans alone cannot be used for life. We need to learn to live with the virus differently and use other tools,” says Health Minister Arūnas Dulkys.

The liberated people are also happy with the liberations:

“We really want to dance, we really want to go back, because I play music myself, I miss that audience a lot.”

“Now, if I think I haven’t seen my best friend in half a year, it will be a chance to meet him.”

“It’s going to be good for young people and we are not going to clubs or museums here.”

“I’m going to meet relatives.”

“We will go with the relatives, so we can’t go anywhere. You can’t go to other areas either, too bad.”

The Health Ministry does not hide the risks, it deviated from the quarantine management plan drawn up by the experts and introduced the releases earlier.

“Our plan can go on a dog’s tail if British mutations or other things can change our lives,” says A. Dulkys.

There are more releases. Today, representatives of driving schools and their clients, who were outraged at not being able to appear for driving tests, participated in small protests in Lithuanian cities to study:

“We also paid that money to maintain those rights as soon as possible, we studied, we went to school and we stopped everything here. For all, the plans failed. It can’t be like that. “

“People haven’t been driving for 2-3 months and now sitting behind the wheel is the same as starting from scratch. You will need to spend almost the same amount on additional lessons.”

“I cannot regain the right to drive because I cannot do additional driver training at the school,” said Kęstutis Videikis, director of the driving school.

Future drivers didn’t have to wait long to make a decision. As of March 10, practical driving training was resumed. A stricter rule will go into effect on the same day: All residents returning to Lithuania will need to be seen prior to travel for coronavirus testing.

The restrictions on movement between municipalities remain in effect until March 15. Therefore, the most free st. Easter The government does not speak.

“If I need to consider movement restrictions for the Easter holidays, I don’t really respond now. Much will depend on the epidemiological situation at that time. Now we are going to offer restrictions from mid-March that would be more related to the epidemiological situation of a particular municipality ”, says I. Šimonytė.

I. Šimonytė mentions that closed cultural institutions could be opened where there are fewer patients, and the MO Museum in the capital offered to be the first to receive visitors according to the highest security measures.

“Starting with all museum staff being tested regularly and putting people at risk. It’s another thing to buy tickets online and with minimal contact access to the museum. At the museum itself, we’re ready to limit the number of visitors per hour, how many tickets do we sell for an hour ”, says Milda Ivanauskienė, director of the MO Museum.

The logic of the quarantine release is cautiously evaluated by health experts advising the government.

“Irresponsible behavior can change the situation very quickly and there can be a reversal, which we would really like to avoid. The problem is that those municipalities that are small are jumping very fast. There are quite a few cases, they are the home of others and it can be difficult from a good municipality ”, says Mindaugas Stankūnas, member of the Council of Health Experts.

At that time, President Gitanas Nausėda continues to emphasize the issues of mass vaccination of the population, explaining that the vaccines that have reached the country must be used as soon as possible.

“To my knowledge, 75,000 vaccines have not been used today. These are the next few days, although we are working very hard to absorb this vaccine,” said G. Nausėda.

“Of those 75 thousand vaccines, 50 thousand arrived in Lithuania just yesterday,” says I. Šimonytė.

The government plans to return to quarantine restriction problems again next week.
