The Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theater hosted renowned Lithuanian musical works performed by ordinary project participants who tried this craft.

However, the success did not smile on everyone: at the end of a busy evening, even two participants said goodbye to the director’s wand: Dj Samanta and Monika Pundziūtė-Monique.

Maestro, a music project based on the BBC format, which has won the sympathy of LRT viewers, is already halfway there.

Its participants, who took the stage just a few weeks ago with no conducting experience, are today successfully demonstrating to the symphony and commissioner orchestra the lessons learned and the tremendous advance in holding the conductor’s wand in their hands.

On Saturday evening, the Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theater focused on Lithuanian music.

Zita Kelmickaitė, a musicologist and television presenter, was the first to take the stage.

It is no coincidence that he also received the song “Discoteque” from the group “The Roop”, which represented Lithuania at Eurovision.

After the show, Zita made no secret of how she felt after a good workout at the sports club, and the commission relentlessly awarded her 25 points out of 30, while also making her the leader of this evening.

The second wand of the conductor was taken over by the singer Monika Pundziūtė-Monique, who together with the orchestra performed the song “Three Millions” by Marijonas Mikutavičius. And although this piece is well known to all, Monika has changed her leg. After receiving harsh criticism from the commission, it received only 12 points.

Actor Dainius Kazlauskas also stood in front of the orchestra.

In each show of the project, he shows his fiery character, which is why this time he received the romantic ballad “Autumn Night Stopped” by Justė Arlauskaitė-Jazzu.

Although Dainius did not hide his excitement behind the scenes, during the performance he seemed to drown in the sounds of music and even fell asleep himself. This captured the hearts of the commission and gave it 21 points.

Actress Lina Rastokaitė was the fourth to go on stage.

Tonight he received Gytis Paškevičius’s play “Everything Happens in This World”. After the performance, the conductor prof. Gintaras Rinkevičius praised Lina’s example in learning the subtleties of leadership and, together with the commission, awarded her 22 points.

Tomas Narkevičius-Free Finga, who performed the song “Forget Me” by the legendary group “Hyperbole”, also wowed everyone gathered with special sounds of music.

The Commission made no secret of its charm with smooth and easy directing, and director Richard Schumila even praised Tom for entering the next level of directing. The Commission awarded it 24 points.

Samanta Žukauskė-Dj Samanta, who performed the song “Oceans” by Linas Adomaitis, was the last to go on stage.

After the program, Samanta struggled to hold back tears of excitement and joy, and the commission did not spare her kind words, acknowledging that it was her best direction on the project.

He was awarded 19 points for this performance.

After counting all the scores of the commission, even three participants appeared tonight before the court of the symphony orchestra: Dj Samanta, Monique and Dainius Kazlauskas.

After announcing the vote by a wide margin, actor Dainius Kazlauskas won this fight, and Monique and Dj Samantai had to say goodbye to the director’s baton.
