“The application of self-isolation is very relevant for tourism. “In fact, it is very good that Croatia is opening its borders, that is the first good push, which is appreciated. (…) Now it is very important for the Government to guarantee that there is no self-isolation when returning to Lithuania from that country, and that those who want to have access to a coronavirus test, ”said the head of the association.
According to her, it is important for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to rush to issue a new recommendation to travel to Croatia, as this would also help travel agencies to recover.
“From an industrial point of view, it is important to receive information from the Ministry of Foreign Relations in a timely manner, because today we do not know what the ministry thinks, which gives recommendations for traveling or not traveling to one or the other country,” Ž said. Gavelienė.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs does not currently recommend going to all foreign countries except Latvia and Estonia, where it is possible to drive and 14 days of self-isolation are not valid on your return.

On Thursday, Rolanda Lingienė, director of the Vilnius Department of the National Center for Public Health, announced that foreigners arriving from those countries or compatriots returning to Lithuania would not have to be isolated for two weeks if their morbidity did not exceed 15 cases. for every 100,000 inhabitants.
“When the morbidity is between 15 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and 25 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, it will take fourteen days to isolate the individuals,” he said.
Health Minister Aurelijus Veryga plans to publish a list of countries from which foreigners can come to Lithuania and from which they do not need to isolate themselves.
