One patient died of coronavirus at Santara’s clinics in Vilnius, the National Center for Public Health (NVSC) reported on Friday.
“A deceased person is a resident of the Vilnius district who became infected with a relative. Due to this infectious disease, it has been treated at Santara’s clinics since mid-May. It belonged to the age group 71-80. According to preliminary data, the person had comorbidities, “said Ginreta Megelinskienė, head of the Infectious Disease Management Division of the Vilnius Department of NVSC.
According to her, no further circumstances of the infection are known.
Seven people are being treated for coronavirus in hospitals
Currently, seven people are being treated for coronavirus in hospitals in the country, one of which is in the resuscitation and intensive care unit.
Ginreta Megelinskienė, Chief of the Infectious Disease Management Division of the Vilnius Department of the National Department of Public Health, informed BNS about it on Friday.
“Of the seven people in the hospital, five are being treated with oxygen masks, and artificial lung ventilation is being applied to one,” he said.

A total of 4,941 cases of coronavirus infection were confirmed in the Baltic States at noon on Friday, according to data compiled by the BNS from official authorities.
Lithuania: 1828 cases were confirmed, 436 thousand cases were performed. 697 studies, 79 people died.
Latvia: 1122 cases were confirmed, 155 thousand 599 studies, 30 people died.
