The strict recommendation to wear protective face masks was understood to allow them not to be worn at all. Deputy Minister of Health A. Bilotienė-Motiejūnienė, who had great faith in the conscience of the people, believes that the recommendation will be replaced by a requirement, but permission to walk in open spaces without face masks will be maintained.
“We have to be careful because there are many outbreaks in schools, which is normal in the cold season. People who go to supermarkets are also affected: the recommendation to wear masks is apparently not enough. Looking at the numbers and to stay out of quarantine, we must take action. World health and other international organizations also recommend the use of masks for vaccinated people. As the recommendation does not work at the moment, we will try to toughen up and talk about closed premises ”, says A. Bilotienė-Motiejūnienė, Deputy Minister of Health.
Reviewing the current situation in Lithuania, scientist V. Zemlys-Balevičius also sees no other way out than to introduce additional protective measures. You are surprised by the sudden reluctance of people to wear protective masks when it is mandatory to wear them all year round.
