An ambulance and a police team accompanying him were called. The woman was immediately taken to Jonava hospital. There she gave birth to a stillborn baby, ”said Neringa Gaučienė, adviser to the director of Rukla PPC.
The cause of the child’s death will be determined by experts. His funeral will later be organized by the Refugee Reception Center.
According to N. Gaucienė, the woman’s condition is currently stable, she should be discharged from the hospital on Sunday. Your husband does not consent to the disclosure of his wife’s health to third parties. The husband was offered the help of a psychologist and social workers to care for the remaining three children. The family is raising two 11-year-old twins and a boy under the age of 10.
“It just came to our notice then. He asked her to leave him for a while to be with his thoughts and pray for the baby,” said the adviser to the PPC director.
The family arrived at the Rukla Refugee Reception Center on September 3. Due to the protection of personal data, the nationality of the family is not disclosed. The woman claimed to be eight months pregnant but did not provide any medical documents. They took her to see a gynecologist, but she refused to receive help from a specialist.

The woman did not complain of poor health and did not complain about her health to social workers. A few days ago, the woman underwent all the necessary tests.
On September 24, the family tried to flee the migrant camp, but were returned the same day.
“They had to climb over the fence. The family, of course, withdrew from the center, but was immediately returned to the center. If it hurt the baby, I can’t really comment. These are not matters of my competence ”, explained the advisor to the PPC director.
Rukla PPC currently houses 16 more pregnant women. All necessary medical assistance is provided.
In total, Rukla PPC currently hosts some 760 migrants who have illegally crossed the Lithuanian border, including 43 unaccompanied minors and families.
