The woman does not hide that it hurts to see what her husband had to go through when he was fired after 18 years of work.
What does it mean to lose a job, a name, a status? What does it mean to walk down the street and feel the gaze of the people, condemns it. What does it mean to lose everything in 15 short minutes? My husband was honorably silent, but I cannot remain silent. You may think it goes against the grain, but I would just call it a desire to reveal the truth. Growing up in an honest family, I was taught to be honest and fair, and I want to keep it that way. I’m not afraid of publicity, ”says the wife of the dismissed prosecutor.
The investigation, which caused the prosecutor to lose his job, began in 2021. on January 25, when the prosecutor’s spouse submitted an application to a health institution for a medical condition. The woman later told doctors that S. Galmin had been violent towards her. The Attorney General immediately launched a pre-trial investigation. The findings indicate that S. Galmin did not meet the high standards of conduct, ethics and impeccable reputation applicable to the prosecution – in 2021. on January 22, while intoxicated, suspected of violence against his spouse.
The woman does not hide the fact that there was indeed a conflict that day, but everything is much deeper.
“I could write a book about what it means to be the wife of a prosecutor, how much responsibility you have and how many negative emotions you experience from the environment just because your husband is doing an honorable duty to the state. So it was only when we got married that mind-blowing dirt spilled all over my husband. Every day I heard how he or anox was and so good half a year. My husband had a pretty messy divorce. It affects everyone differently. It is a pity that I had to be the epicenter of an invisible struggle, which severely exhausted me and led me to a very difficult condition: psychological exhaustion. Not only that, our family was hit by a tragedy: my pregnancy, which we both saw as a great gift, ended tragically. It’s probably not worth saying how a woman feels at a time like this. Asta reveals that everything happened because she did not seek help in time and rejected her spouse’s will to help her.
“I have been a professional woman for many years, strong and unwavering. It was only after my divorce from my first husband that I retired to a quieter cultural pursuit that I love immensely. So I was used to being strong and not recognizing to myself or others that I needed help and urgency. I tried to take my internal pain and my experiences to the deepest corner of my heart, not to think about it and to continue living. It is probably perceived that when a person is ill and does not realize it, it seems to him that the whole world is against him. It seemed to me that the man did not love me, he was behaving badly, inappropriate. My trailers were daily and constant. Even though I am like this, my husband tried to help me in various ways. It was suggested to go to a psychologist together. We wrote it down, but when I thought about what people would say and how strong he was, I kept putting off that visit. And as you know, things like nervous exhaustion don’t go away on their own, they just hit you deeper and deeper. The second stage, as it turned out, is hypersensitivity. For everything and everyone. I could start to cry or be offended by a single word or a poorly chosen intonation. I was still on stage when I thought everything was fine for me, only others were wrong. Every day I began to feel unhappy, without even understanding why. Beautiful family, great and well-kept houses, loved work. The man was constantly surprised by various gifts just to fix my mood. Remembering everything, I can’t believe that person was me. I also can’t believe I called the police officers for my husband. In the midst of a small domestic conflict that seemed to me at the time, in the eyes of a sick person, the end of the world, my husband used violence against me. He honestly acknowledged this, even though the articles were written by something else entirely. But I would like everyone to see this story a little differently. Conflicts happen in all families. Is it possible to provoke a man to use violence? Of course it’s possible. Any psychologist could attest to this. This is especially easy to do when you are behaving in an inappropriate or incomprehensible way. By the way, during the incident, I first raised my hand against my husband and provoked him. And this is not the first time that I have allowed my husband to raise his hand. Now I realize that this behavior on my part humiliated him as a man. I was intoxicated during the conflict, and because I drank very little and in extremely small amounts due to my stomach surgery as a teenager, it affected my behavior as well. My husband is not an abuser, he is a wonderful man, a loving father, ”says Asta.
The woman is open: after an event that will result in the loss of office, public condemnation, she faced a reluctance to listen to her version.
“I wrote a letter to Attorney General Nida Grunskiene, I also wrote a letter to the prosecutor overseeing this case. No one is in a hurry to believe me. Why? Probably the easiest and easiest way to do it is: the man is guilty, he used violence against his wife and the case is over. After all, society must be reduced to zero and everyone will be satisfied, “the woman writes.
The woman says she regrets everything her husband has gone through, but says she understands that it is impossible to go back in time.
“I feel it every day. I only began to realize everything after a course of psychotherapy and oral antidepressants. I am very grateful to the doctors who have helped me a lot and for being able to feel again. I just want one thing for the public do not be fooled and everyone can personally draw their own conclusions after hearing the true truth. Unfortunately, the office will not be restored. A man who has served the prosecution for 18 years, organized the elections for “Prosecutor of the year” and many others events and initiatives over several years, it is “drawn” as violent or even sadistic. This is absolutely false. My husband was able to forgive me, I forgave and I am there for him and we continue to build our future together. I would advise all women not to remain silent and ask for help without playing what we are strong. Because the consequences of the disease can be extremely serious. I am also writing this letter to myself because I know that he would never forgive me if the truth was not revealed. The Attorney General’s Office noted that the results of the official inspection investigation indicated not only a possible case of violence, but also the fact that the prosecutor violated the quarantine imposed in Lithuania due to the pandemic.
Although this violation did not cause significant negative consequences, it forms a negative opinion about S. Galmin as a person who does not sufficiently control his behavior, tends to violate the rules of conduct established in society and the requirements of legal acts. Both violations were also found to be committed by active intentional actions.
Taking into account the mismanagement found, its seriousness and the damage caused, the request for official sanction establishes that Mr. Galmin’s misconduct is incompatible with the requirements of good conduct imposed on prosecutors, his oath, his condition, his duties and legitimacy. public expectations.
