The vaccines that reached the Klaipėda region were crossed: doctors rushed in a row, from downtime, who needed it, no more

The doctor told his story to his news portal tv3.lt. The woman works on the front line with Covid-19 hospitals. His main workplace is the Šilutė Hospital, and he also works at the Klaipėda Republican Hospital. Her husband also works with Covid-19 patients.

The doctor working at the front was shocked: there was no vaccine left, the doctors attacked in a row

The doctor said she felt overwhelmed and crushed when she experimented with her fur what was happening in the Klaipėda region, when the first doctors and other hospital employees were vaccinated against the coronavirus.

“We seem to be one of the priority people. We are waiting for information for a few days, we are actively interested, but no one is anything. We found out that the vaccination will take place in Šilutė on Monday, we are on the list and we are happy.

On Sunday I’m on duty at the Klaipėda reactor, I’m asking about the vaccinations, maybe on Monday morning the vaccination, inform me, because after stand-by you will want to go home, and the trip home is 60 kilometers . We are waiting for the news ”, the doctor shared her story.

The man informed him that they should be vaccinated in Šilutė on Monday between 7 and 8 pm in the morning, but the woman is unable to be on duty at the Klaipėda Republican Hospital, the man alone at home with small children, therefore prior request, the schedule is moved three hours later.

On Monday morning in Klaipeda, the woman finished the shift at 8pm tomorrow and I did not receive any knowledge of the vaccine. After the call, the doctor rushed home to get vaccinated with her husband in Šilutė.

“We get dressed at home, we have another hour, but we want more quickly, we prepare the children. Then the phone rings and the nurse informs us that we have no vaccines left. Many doctors left the line and not according to the list, although not they admitted patients during the cannon firing and did not fulfill their duties, “the doctor recalled.

He works at the Republican Hospital in Klaipeda, but he didn’t invite me to get vaccinated

After opening the Facebook account of the social network, the doctor sees how the administration of the Republican Hospital Klaipėda is being vaccinated at that time.

“Colleagues working with Covid-19 don’t know who was on the site with more information, so let’s go. We called and said they had to report and get vaccinated, but we don’t know why they didn’t report. No more responsible.

The vaccines are over, but there will be. 12 or 3 pm whoever is closest is flying, a live tail, everyone is vaccinated, even those below. There is no pity for the vaccine colleagues, I hope it is enough for everyone, but in such an animal order.

I was “impressed” by this coordination. The Soviet Union is still alive, from under the counter to yours, others in line and the last ones no longer. Sadness covered. I don’t know if I want to go fight without strangers, ”said the doctor.

Only when doctors started communicating with the media did she announce on Tuesday that she had finally been vaccinated at Šilutė Hospital, where she had brought more doses of vaccines. But until then, I had a lot of problems.

SAM: Institutions are instructed to compile their own priority list and vaccinate accordingly

The Ministry of Health announced that five coordinating institutions in Vilnius, Kaunas, Klaipėda, Šiauliai and Panevėžys had been instructed to draw up a priority list themselves and vaccinate accordingly. The decision is left to the institutions themselves.

Those five institutions are already talking to the other hospitals they oversee, where people are most at risk of becoming infected, and are making priority lists of who will be vaccinated first.

Šilutė Hospital: the person may not have been vaccinated on the first day, but will be vaccinated on the second day

Tomas Grenoveckas, deputy medical director of the Šilutė Hospital, commented on the situation to the news portal tv3.lt.

“80 doses of the vaccine have been administered for the vaccination of medical staff at Šilutė Hospital who work directly with coronavirus patients. The vaccination process was carried out at the institution for two days, on December 28. and December 29.

Vaccination of medical personnel began on December 28 at approximately 8 am The first 40 workers were vaccinated that day. Today, December 29, another 40 medical workers will be vaccinated. These include doctors, nurses, their assistants who work in the COVID-19 unit, Resuscitation-Intensive Care, Reception Rooms-Emergencies and Mobile Checkpoint and others who provide emergency care.

Please note that no person in the administration has been vaccinated. The man himself an associate physician providing emergency care is not currently vaccinated. In his interpretation, he did not get vaccinated because someone from the workers needed the vaccine more.

Most importantly, the 80 facility staff who work in these departments and those at high risk for COVID-19 will be vaccinated. Of these, there is no order in which the first doctor should be vaccinated. We are happy that 80 doses of the vaccine have been received and that it can be said that they are reserved for a specific person, so all those who belong to the priority groups will be vaccinated.

Employees are vaccinated at the time that suits them. It is certainly not the case that only all COVID-19 staff are vaccinated first, and when they are vaccinated only then, for example, the staff of the Reception-Emergency Unit. It also does not matter whether the employee holds the position of department head or not.

The vaccinated personnel of the aforementioned departments, as well as the doctors on duty who provide emergency care, consult patients in the Admission-Emergencies Department.

Workers who do not belong to the priority groups do not provide emergency care and will not be vaccinated at this time.

Sure, we initially thought we would get 80 shots on the same day, but we got it in two days, so maybe the person wasn’t vaccinated on the first day, but will be vaccinated on the second.

As for the need, we requested 84 vaccinations for medical personnel, but we received 80.

Klaipėda Republican Hospital – Enrolled in two hospitals, but this should not be the case

The Klaipeda Republican Hospital also commented on the situation to the tv3.lt news portal.

“Before waiting for the vaccination, we distribute a questionnaire for all employees who want to be vaccinated to sign. This doctor registered both at his main hospital in Šilutė and with us. Which probably shouldn’t be the case.

Lithuania received only 10,000. doses of vaccine, those doses are distributed to major hospitals and distributed to other hospitals.

It can be assumed that if you enroll in two hospitals, someone who wanted the vaccine could lose it. But that shouldn’t be the case. The whole problem was in the Šilutė hospital.

Upon first arrival, we received 70 doses and 70 workers were vaccinated. A total of 140 workers were vaccinated yesterday. People are vaccinated according to a list of priority rooms approved by the Ministry of Health, which includes emergency resuscitation personnel working with Covid-19 patients.

It is impossible to vaccinate all employees who want it at the same time. We depend on the doses they bring us. The vaccination is scheduled for three days and everyone who signed up wanted it: everyone will be vaccinated, but not in one day, but in three days.

It is a matter of human conscience, and it seems natural to me that if you work in the main job, that’s what you claim in the main job, not where you earn as an auxiliary, “said the public relations representative of the hospital.
