A. Dust: Volunteers to use the vaccination campaign due to lack of time
Volunteers use the vaccination advertising campaign due to lack of time, not being able to organize public purchases, says Health Minister Arūnas Dulkys.
He stressed that the Ingrida Šimonytė government began its work on December 11, two weeks before the delivery of the first vaccines to Lithuania, and that, according to him, extensive information campaigns should be prepared well in advance.
“We had very few days. Since we know that with the help of public procurement legislation, ordering a creative idea on its own would have taken us at least two months (such procedures exist unfortunately), we turned to these creative people for help and they did what they could. We are very grateful to them, ”he said.

The Minister highlighted that he thanked the Owl Brigade of the Rifle Union, “led by Edmundas Jakilaitis”, for “the voluntary assistance to help us develop both the communication strategy and the clips in general.”
According to him, the volunteer shooters work in the government’s Public Information Group and provide services for free.
“They did all this for free, they don’t really have plans for the future, they don’t have additional contracts with them in the future,” he emphasized.
A. Dulkys stated that the information campaign will be expanded; public acquisitions are currently beginning.
“But I want to rejoice that most of the media, companies, during this period, while organizing public purchases, have agreed to distribute these ads for free and contribute to the vaccination campaign,” said the minister.
