“The cases are not yet clear. The circumstances of the infection are not clear, additional interviews are needed,” said the public health specialist.

According to her, the coronavirus was identified in a relative of an employee of a long-distance transport company, and four low-risk individuals were identified.

The remaining two cases were identified in one family. According to G. Megelinskienė, both infected belong to risk groups, one due to age, the other due to comorbidities.

“Both people went to the guests on the third day of June, four people with contact were identified,” said G. Megelinskienė.

He also added that epidemiologists are preparing to pay special attention to S. Stanevičiaus Street, where a coronavirus was confirmed in five people living in different apartment buildings since Friday.

“Five infected people (confirmed as of Friday) live on S. Stanevičiaus Street. In different apartment buildings, but on the same street,” said a representative from the National Center for Public Health.

“There will be an additional survey of these five people, evaluating in great detail where they visited, who they met,” he added.
