Preliminary data from the investigation has yet to be revealed, but according to M. Stankūnas, it can be said that less than 3 percent of the population in Lithuania had coronavirus.

“When the study began, we, the researchers involved in this study, we tried to consider what the prevalence might be, how many people might be sick, then we forecast that the number should not reach 3 percent. populations. (…) I can reveal that we did not really exceed that 3 percent in any of those districts, ”he said.

“This means actually less than 3 percent of the population in Lithuania,” added the LSMU professor.

The most active were the residents of the Ukmergė and Tauragė districts. Klaipeda residents were the least active.

Serological tests for COVID-19 were performed on invited volunteers in a population study. They show antibodies formed in the body. These studies look at human blood.
