“We thank Romania for its help, which we greatly appreciate. I have said more than once that only by joining together, supporting each other, sharing experiences and working together with other countries will we overcome the challenge facing the entire world,” said Health Minister Aurelijus. Veryga in the report.

“Lithuania, in turn, also provides assistance to the countries most affected by the pandemic. We may have won the first battles, but the war is probably not over,” he said.

According to SAM, at the beginning of the pandemic, Lithuania requested international assistance on personal protection measures, and the request was placed in the General Emergency Information and Communication System.

“Romania responded to our request for assistance. The shipment of respirators was successfully transported by road through the Budzisko-Kalvarija border checkpoint,” the report read.

The Ministry of Health recalls that the procedure for assigning protective equipment for doctors will change from June 1: the protective equipment of the medical reserve will be assigned only to fever clinics, mobile points and medical institutions where there is a sudden outbreak of coronavirus.

Medical institutions in other countries will have to buy protective equipment for the doctors themselves or with the help of the founders of these institutions, the municipalities.
