The second day of the Festival del Mar, full of exciting events and entertainment, passed without major incident. It is true that it is not yet possible to celebrate in complete peace and quiet.

On Saturday, a crime was committed on the festival grounds: on Danės Street, where the festive fair operates, a wallet was stolen from a woman’s backpack. It contained 22 euros, documents, a bank card.

After spending some quiet time during the day in the wide festival area, at night, many people came up with the idea to check if there was enough sobriety to drive. This opportunity was provided by officers from the Klaipėda County Police Station, who have established a mobile headquarters in Atgimimo Square.

There were 62 people who voluntarily blew up the alcohol meter here on Saturday, some of whom thanked officials for the opportunity to verify because the device was showing more than 0.4 avg, meaning they couldn’t drive.

The vast majority of the participants in the celebration were benevolent and peacefully determined. When on the first night the people parted from the Cruise Terminal, none of the officials mojo and wished them good night.

The officials spoke several times with beggars from Romania. When asked for a place to celebrate, they kept coming back. Surprisingly, people did not save them money, although it was obvious that beggars are healthy and hardworking people.

On Saturday, unlike Friday, officials lost the search for the parents of the missing children.

At night, when the big concerts at the Cruise Terminal were already in full swing, a man fell into the sky.

He was saved. First aid to a drunkard was provided by young volunteers of the Order of Malta. Later he was handed over to the ambulance crew, the man suffered no further.

There, in a festive rage, two women and a man quarreled and stabbed each other in the hair.

The officers who separated Mušeikas transported the three to the Kauno Street Police Station.

Although the journey was not long, the trio, who had just come into conflict, got out of the police car as a sign of reconciliation.

After the big concert at the terminal, there was an outbreak of conflict between the two groups of hostages, but the officials were there and managed to quench the passions even before the conflict-parties raised their fists.

On the way home after all the fun, on Taikos Avenue, near the building called Bure, a group of men clashed. The police singled them out.

“The vast majority of the participants in the celebration were benevolent and peaceful. When on the first night the people parted from the Cruise Terminal, none of the officials mojo and wished them good night. The officers responded to them at the same time, wanting to return home safely. I hope the celebration ends without major misunderstandings. It seems that we have finally learned to celebrate. Perhaps this was due to the fact that much less alcohol was marketed in the festival area than before, ”said Darius Petraitis, head of the Klaipėda AVPK Public Police.
