Sustainability and innovation
According to SBA President Arūnas Martinkevičius, the SBA’s 30th anniversary will be the fastest and most ambitious development in the group’s history for years to come. The new strategy sets three key leadership goals.
First, become leaders in innovation and experts in their industries and have the most patents. Second, to be the most coveted place for advanced and enterprising people to choose a career. Third, to be the most socially responsible among the largest groups of Lithuanian companies.
“Thinking of blind and useless business growth is not our way. We will put all our energy where our innovative solutions can give the world a new approach to the workplace and workers’ health, the revolutionary progress of production, the birth of high-tech campuses that every country in the world should strive for.
For the conservative construction industry, which has little innovation, we will offer clean modular home technology. We are not inferior to the great creators, and when our vision becomes works, we will be able to enjoy our achievements in creating a healthier, more meaningful and friendly world ”, says A.Martinkevičius.
According to him, already today when working on a new business idea or a new product, the first objective is to make these solutions contribute to a significant change, that they are innovative, competitive and capable of reaching global markets on a large scale.
From real estate projects with unique concepts, sustainable and environmentally friendly modular homes, innovative textile products, to robotic solutions and patents in production.
Investments in the SBA and its companies are projected to reach € 300 million in 2021-2023, with most of it this year and 2022.
Investments will grow in all sectors in which SBA companies operate: in the development of furniture, textiles, real estate and modular skyscrapers.
In 2021 alone, SBA companies will create nearly 500 new jobs, and that number will hit 800 in three years.
The measures set out in the strategy will allow double-digit annual revenue growth and the group’s consolidated sales will increase more than one and a half times over the next three years.
“All SBA lines of business have ambitious new strategies. Our objective is not only organic development or new investments in manufacturing companies, but also possible acquisitions. We are constantly looking for them. We will evaluate each investment according to strict criteria of sustainability, value creation and competitiveness ”, says the SBA president.
Management changes
The implementation of business strategies will be accompanied by changes in management. The SBA has already refined businesses and their management in recent years by expanding strategic-level competencies.
In the past few years alone, three experienced independent members have joined the SBA board. In the near future, the management of the SBA will be supplemented by new professionals with experience in managing large international businesses.
“We will further enable and strengthen the boards of directors of the individual business units. Global development requires a global approach, so we will continue to attract professionals with international experience. We want to learn and grow. At all levels of the organization. At the same time, we will increase investments in the education and knowledge of our current employees, which is a priority, ”says A. Martinkevičius.
As before, the SBA will pay close attention to social responsibility. The Group and its companies will initiate and contribute to various social responsibility initiatives in the communities and at the national level.
