Similar robberies occurred on September 27 and 28, when various items were stolen from the farm in the village of Vilioniai, and in Kaišiadorys, an oxygen bottle, oxygen and propane rubber hoses with two reducers and cutting tools were stolen from metal after breaking into a company building. refractors, metal steps, etc.
The robberies also occurred the next month. Later, in the period from 7 to 15 November, in Kaišiadorys, after breaking into a residential house, a television set, an induction hob, cordless screwdrivers, grinders, a set of rotating nozzles, old coins, a lamp were stolen outdoors and a high pressure washer. The loss suffered was estimated at € 1,700.
On December 1, officers from the Kaišiadorys District Police Station arrested two people involved in the robberies.
Previously, a convicted resident of the Kaišiadorys district, born in 1986, was sentenced several times to illegally dispose of narcotic drugs or psychotropic substances and to robbery – periodic registration in a police institution.
Another resident of Kaišiadorys, who had been convicted in the past and was convicted of robbery and violation of public order in two of the aforementioned crimes, was placed in preventive detention with a written commitment not to leave.
The investigation also identified a third man born in 2000, a resident of Kaišiadorys who had previously been convicted of robbery and violation of public order, possibly involved in criminal activities. You must also periodically register with the police.
Pre-trial investigations for theft have been initiated pursuant to article 178 (2) of the Penal Code. This is punishable by a fine or arrest, restriction of liberty or imprisonment for up to six years.
The investigation is organized and directed by the prosecutors of Divisions 4 and 6 of the Kaunas District Prosecutor’s Office of the Kaunas Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
