“I would even consider a room with an ocean view, but in the comments people wrote that it is not worth it, because they are not really visible. So I asked to book a standard double room for 340 euros, that is, 85 euros per night, ”says Irina.

She soon received a booking confirmation from the hotel, but the price shown here is 0 Eur. The woman called the reception several times before arriving to check if everything was true.

“I asked if I had to pay an advance, they told me that I could pay it all on the spot. I was surprised and before arriving at the hotel I called the reception 3 more times to check if everything was really valid, each time they explained to me that everything was fine and it was normal practice ”, recalls the interlocutor.

August 27 At the Amber Palace reception, guests were greeted by a staff member who refused to introduce himself: “We were greeted by a guy with a black bandana on his face and who looked like a bandit or a pirate. The name, sadly, could not be known because this rude young man refused to introduce himself and there was no name card. We paid the resort fee because they said it was necessary in cash, and for the stay we plan to pay by card. “

That’s when the problems arose. It turned out that the price of the room had gone up to 490 euros, although it was booked for a completely different amount.

“I showed correspondence where the reservation price is clearly visible. I heard:” Well, what was not paid, therefore, is not valid, and the employee who confirmed the reservation is no longer working. “

The young man then called the accountant to ask how he could refund us the resort fee we had already paid. I thought I was dreaming or hearing wrong. They offered to pay me a new amount or not pay because he was not going to pay for our break. And if I demanded some of my rights, the young man threatened to blacklist me.

I have requested contacts from some “superior” people, but they have told me that they will not make any contacts and are not obliged to provide them. Furthermore, he claimed that he was a future lawyer, commenting on every word of the correspondence, apparently deciding to do the internship not where necessary. I felt like I was in the theater of the absurd ”, says Irina.

Finally, the woman obtained the phone number of another hotel employee, assured me that an error had occurred and that the guests would definitely be accommodated for the agreed price.

“Young Daiva (employees – Delphi) stated that they would only accept us after their written approval. After this conversation, I called Daiva 6 more times, but he no longer came up. The interpretation took 1 hour and 20 minutes. The big question is what the end would be, but 4 more people came with the exact same problem. One woman in that group said it was her second time working at Amber Palace, so she was very determined, ”she recalls.

It is true that at the reception and in the rooms, as the interlocutor says, it was possible to find brochures indicating 2019. Prices: “I asked why the old brochures, they gave me the answer that the prices have not changed. Therefore, I honestly did not understand the basis on which they demanded a higher price in general. “

“In the end they accommodated us for an agreed price, but we interacted like beggars. Do we get any bonuses for such things? Of course, no. There wasn’t even an apology. And on Monday, when there was a change from this rude young man again, she didn’t even say hello to us, ”Irina added.

SPA „Amber Palace“ Delphi commented on this situation and explained why the customer had to pay a higher amount.

The website and all of our publications indicate that prices are subject to change, and the exact price valid on a particular day should be contacted directly at the phone numbers provided, ”the company said in a comment.

Spa representatives ensure that when reserving a room, the client is requested to make a transfer to the specified account, so it is assumed that Amber Palace will be able to adjust the prices valid on that day.

Full payment is required in advance when requesting our services, at least 14 calendar days prior to arrival.
