The requirements for the use of masks and other face shields in public catering establishments are changing: they are no longer mandatory for visitors when they sit at a table or in a bar.
The requirement to wear masks while eating suddenly remains in effect, Health Minister Aurelijus Veryga will announce the changes on Facebook.
cafes, restaurants, and other group catering services must continue to be licensed only to visitors wearing face shields. This is true for both indoor and outdoor cafes. In other words, you have to go in and out with a mask or other face protection, and sitting at a table or bar does not require you to wear it, advises A. Veryga.
His representative Lina Buinskait told BNS that the order was signed on Thursday and would take effect on Friday.
According to the minister, the amendment began after listening to the proposals submitted to the Ministry of Health and evaluating the discomfort that was experienced when it was necessary to be at the table with a mask before eating or drinking anything.
The Minister also recalls that the exceptions for the use of masks do not apply to companies with disabilities, when due to their disability they simply cannot rub their faces and face protection.
For example, people with respiratory problems, mental disorders, autism spectrum disorders may not have a mask if they cannot breathe due to their health condition. Inoma, if a person with a disability, such as movement, allows the use of a mask, it is necessary to do so, says the minister.
To stop the spread of the coronavirus, as of August 1, the mandatory use of a mask was carried out in public transport and in sudden, massive events, public catering establishments, except when eating and drinking.
